Apple dropping support for 6s and 7.
It was a nice long ride for my 6s. Not gonna replace it anytime soon, though.

The cutoff for Mac OS Venture looks a bit more savage. Predictably though. Anything pre 2017 is out now.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Not surprising. My 7 was struggling with iOS 15 already, it was constantly running out of RAM. Sometimes I had trouble starting apps. Its charging power eventually died prematurely, so I ended up with a used iPhone 12 mini. I love the form factor and the color (a deep blue).
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Yeah. Would not be surprised if macOS 14(?) drops Intel entirely.

Bummer - I'm on payment 28 of 30 for the wife's 7+. Then again, I'll keep a phone at least through its second battery life. Just another 3 or 4 years.

Not surprised. Glad my 8 is still good for a bit.

Well I'm not even sure if DD is keeping her 6s up to date. Backups? who needs backups?

Nah, they are still selling 2019 Mac Pros for ($50K). No way they can dump support for those after a year.

Aww, my 2015 MBA is stuck at Monterey. Unfortunately that was the last of the 11" form factor, which I love, so I grabbed a loaded i7 version. Give me iPad size but full desktop capabilities and the ability to run or virtualize Windows - perfect for travel and live tuning in the car.
