I have an original iPhone 8G and a MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz (late 2008). Since upgrading from iTunes 8.1 to 8.1.1, I observe that calendars and contacts are not synched the first time after iTunes 8.1.1 is launched, but they are synched normally when I press the sync button a second time.

I have done a full reset of Sync services, rebuilt my iCal calendars and Address Book, to no avail.

Anyone else? Any solution?

Is the automatic syncing feature on? If so, try turning it off (just a guess).

Just to be clear: the first sync after launching iTunes does do some synching, such as apps; it's just that contacts and calendars seem excluded.

I'm still seeing the problem, unfortunately!
