The girl in the top left ad reminds you of...?

Law suit pending, so I wonder whether you get what this is allegedly infringing.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

It's a low-res pic, but it looks like Milla Jovovich.

Sorry, bad phrasing on my part. What does the ad remind you of? (not the girl) Someone who is not SFR is suing because the ad allegedly infringes copyright.

They seem to be dealing with Vodafone, so... qu es el problema? <- probably very wrong grammar.

Well, according to you SFR is going to win the second instance (they lost the first).

It is indeed Milla Jovovich. Her ex-husband is suing because he claims it infringes on his copyright on "The fifth element". SFR shall either stop the advertisement or pay 300,000.

Sounds like sour-grapes by the ex-husband to me.

I don't know if this is said in English as well, but in German we call this the "Casting Couch".

He should have known that this would be a limited deal until she doesn't need him any more to get lead roles.

Well, he has a mustache - which means he has a cavalier attitude and confidence to match. He probably just stroked his 'stache a few times and she was ready to go home.

Let me get some of you caught up here.

Luc Besson is one of France' most popular directors, who wrote and directed euro-blockbusters like Nikita, Leon and The Big Blue. He also wrote and directed The Fifth Element, where he met and fell in love with the film's tasty but flakey co-star Milla Jovovich. He cast her as the star in his next film, Joan of Arc, but both the movie and the marriage falied.

Besson recently filed suit against an ad agency for similarities between the female character in the SFR ads (link above) and Jovovich' character in The Fifth Element. Last month a court agreed with Besson and awarded him more than $350,000.

There is something about Franka Potente..

She is *so* incredibly cute and well hot! She has charisma and vitality that very few match.

<sigh>
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.
