"As phones are becoming smarter, people are becoming dumber", is that a statement with some merit?

Its sure that people reflect less. All those stars that had their photos and vids hacked, I mean WTF were they thinking when they were filming themselves?

I think the point is that smartphones are now smart enough that they can be handled by a drunk at 3am, and nobody is particularly smart in that situation.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

You don't need a smart phone to be dumb. Go to 3:30. I set it up to start there but it plays from the beginning.

As someone else from Ars said, excluding the above-mentioned video, why would the coach be sending his female players pictures of himself in jerseys? That is already stepping beyond the realms of a normal coach-student relationship.

Nothing that I read showed him wearing jerseys that just came in. It just says pictures of him in jerseys.

I was speculating a reason why a coach would send pics, since you asked why someone might do that.

Yes, he is too stooooooopid for a smartphone. Even without the mistake in sending, does anyone really do that?

I already posted to your related thread, but, I assume you mean "sexual correspondence via internets"?

Is this an actual honest question? I assume you would be prepared to accept that for hundreds of years, a large number of human beings have enjoyed corresponding in an overtly sexual manner by letter? And then, by telephone? And then, by web cam? (Hell, I'm going to come out and say that faxes have to fit in there somewhere, too.)

It's a pretty short hop from web cam on your computer, to web video on your phone, no? Does this concept actually seem strange to you?

I've managed to accidentally text the wrong person a couple of times...I learned a lesson fairly painlessly, since in one case the text "to my wife" went to a (female) supervisor who was, shall we say, above being mean about it. Since then, if I'm not actively responding to a known person's text, I double check the recipient after I proof read the text. Yes,, I do that.

Sending inappropriate pictures to anyone is a stupid thing in the first place. "Accidentally" sending them to someone over whom you have some authority is worse than stupid. It's close to, if not over the line, between moronic and abusive.
