Yea I guess it does seem a little spam-like ????

They just gave me a postcard at this expo I went to with the discount code on it, so I thought I would share it with everyone.

If posting coupon codes is somehow against the ToS then by all means alert an administrator/moderater immediately and have them delete this!!

My God, some of you people are so uptight.

Well, if it's not spam, good.

Hey, there are websites that report deals like that all the time. You could send them your discount code there, I'm sure they'd be happy to report it.

RadTech is awesome, though. If someone gave me a code for 25% off at Apple, I wouldn't call it spam.

I don't think someone with over 200 posts is really a spammer. It was nice to share this discount with us.

Why are you getting mad, you didn't even get rude replies.

Fact is, the forum rules don't allow any advertising.
Plus, there are dozens of websites out there that do just one thing: report deals. So me, personally, I don't think that we should encourage people to post all their online deals here.

I dunno, I think this kinda thing might be okay, especially coming from someone w/a >200 post count and is likely to have actually posted something with content many times before this. I mean, I would hate to have coupon codes showing up every other day, but this is for a company that's very Apple-centric and sells a bunch of stuff folks here might care about.

Anyway, it has me wondering what folks think of their new full-size mouse, since I keep thinking about finding a multi-button replacement for my Apple wireless mouse, and RadTech seems to be one of the few companies selling a Bluetooth one that's programmable (beyond Exposé) out of the box.

@ whattheheck

Look, I was just trying to do everyone a favor. Stop giving me the "holier than thou" attitude. Not everyone check the deal/coupon sites everyday.
I simply posted this out of pure and wholesome motivations and to offer something which I felt was a positive contribution. People like yourself have shown me that this forum does not appreciate gestures of this kind. Honestly, I find your reaction extremely offensive.
It will be the last time, I promise you that.

I tried that exact mouse out at the expo I attended. It felt quite good (very lightweight, good "click" feedback) and had good range. I didn't ask about battery life. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it. But personally, I am holding out for the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse.

What was the expo you're talking about?

About the mouse: the fact that it can charge over a USB cable makes me less worried about battery life. Plus I always have charged batteries right under my desk, so as long as it's not draining every day, it ain't no thing. I'm not hung up on a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, since that scroll ball's size just doesn't work for me.

I gotta say, though, EFFENDI, I think you're being a bit overly defensive. You got a little bit of criticism, and what_the_heck even kind of retracted it, and most other posts here have been supporting you. Can y'all just kiss and make up now?

The expo was The MacGathering, held this past weekend in North Hollywood.

About the mouse: Just sharing my opinion. You did ask. i don't see why you need to justify the purchase, it seems you pretty much have your mind made up about it.

As far as me being overly defensive, you need to consider that what was said was not criticism, it was accusation. Overall I am more disappointed than anything else. I really was turned off by the cynical and outright offensive reacions I received. In the interests of harmony, I've stated that this won't happen again, so as far as I am concerned, there is nothing more to discuss about it.

A good deed never goes unpunished...
