I've never been a fan of them. At least when Brock was talking to them it was slightly more bearable.
Last night's episode was the best so far, I was pretty sleepy when it aired so I'm gonna watch it again on Adult Swim.com today to refresh my memory.
Is it natural that I'm attracted to a cartoon woman with a deep voice?

I like the Moppets. Not a ton, but enough to justify the amount of screen time they have been getting.
I want to see more new characters.
And what was the deal with the teen in the last episode. I'm guessing it's Brocks kid, right? But who is the mom? I feel like I missed some clue.

That's the predictable implication they went with.
I haven't rewatched the episode, but the voice reminded me of Manstrong's mom. Not saying it's her, just who it reminded me of.

I love how Dean beat the crap outta that kid. Looks like he might get Triana after all.

I'm waiting for Trianna's friend to show up as a villain. We need more Hank and Dean.

They totally hinted at that when she told him he was cute sometimes.
Loved the Suicidegirls comment, BTW.

That would be kickass.

I dunno. This episode was probably the best this season, but nowhere near as good as something like 'Tag Sale, You're It.'
This season is really killing my perspective on all the characters. I used to think Brock was a well-traveled super spy, Thaddeus was (at least partially) a super scientist and supervillains like the Monarch and Sgt. Hate were actually villainous. Now it just seams like these are all just regular people with bad jobs and strange costumes. Where are the capers? The intrigue? The save-the-world adventures? I'm getting tired of wading through backstory. I want to see some action that's bizarre on different levels, like the Bowie-laced 'Ghosts of the Sargasso.' Or are we just going to watch the same eight characters rub up against each other all season?

Funny you should mention that, as I felt compelled to rewatch that yesterday, Probably one of the best episodes as far as the Monarch's dialogue goes. You see the full spectrum of mundane to villainy.

Now you're speaking my language. It seems like every episode they're forcefully adding backstory and promoting a story arc, things that they did well in Season 1, partly because it was limited in scope. Now, it seems like backstory and story arc is their only goal, instead of the crazy situations and awesome fights (punctuated by moments of the ridiculously mundane).
Oh, and nice sig:

I create like 30 sigs a week. I probably used it in the first half of '07.
Anyway, keep yours. No one knows (or cares), and it's technically more accurate.

Indeed, great episode.
Native #1: "I was putting fake blood all over my costume, where were you?"
Native #2 "I was getting my ass handed to me by a f**king Orangutan!"
Also, Dean almost getting double-teamed by British twins? What's going on here?
Edit: I feel a new sig coming on...

Yes, I thought that was one of the strongest endings I can remember.

I think our Boy Adventurer will soon be a man.
I was struck by what to me would be the first use of CG for the planes at the end.

Yeah, when they turned in opposite directions it had a very "futurama-esque" feel to it.
Also Brock got a new nickname.... "Supercut" (or Supercuts? can't remember)

So, who else thinks that Dr. Qwuen (sp?) is Ventures half-sister? I thought it was pretty obvious, but I've read some other comments and no one else seems to think so. I mean, she has the exact same hair color and we see her mom shagging Jonus Venture and hints that Colonel Gentleman is gay... so...

Could be, which might explain why the writers didn't allow Rusty any boot-ay in that episode.

****, I missed that. I think it was a moment where I lost what she said thaks to traffic outside.

Yeah, it crossed my mind. For a second a thought there might be a connection between her and Dean as well.

With them beating the pedophile thing to death, I don't put actual incest past them, especially with a half sibling. Hell, Dean saw second base.

I have to admit that I kind of bit my tongue when they flashed back to Venture's swinger party, luckily it was short and sweet and not another episode full of backstory.

Yeah, thankfully it was more Ghosts of the Sargasso style: brief and regarding the old generation.

Do you think Dr. Venture's revelation of how long it's been since he's had sex is an indication of the boys' true age?

It's been hinted before that their age doesn't line up right with their actual birth date.

I thought he meant the time since he met that girl last and kissed her in the doll house. He had a major crush on her.

The boys have been around since the 1970s, if the flashback death montage is to be believed.
He was referring to the time since he last got some. If he had been counting since that kiss it would have been longer than 19 years.

Well, what did you guys think of last night's episode?
I found it very dark, one of the darkest episodes of the show yet.
Some of the dialogue between Brock and the tiny man was hilarious. Tiny man: "So is that the way people are wearing their hair now?" Poor Brock.
Another good line was from Jefferson Twilight: "You just gonna let some ATARI bitch tell you 'GAME OVER?"
Not overtly hilarious, but entertaining nonetheless. Especially the poop rocket at the end.

I watched it first at Adult Swim.com yesterday afternoon and I watched it again when it aired last night. The second viewing was indeed more enjoyable, losta stuff to miss.

Has anyone else noticed they've done away with a long opening in the last few episodes?
Tonight's show was funny, but I really am not enjoying what they've done with the Monarch so far. Though the star wars scene was great.

Good episode, from what I remember. I was half-asleep at 10:30...
Gonna have to watch it again today on AdultSwim to get the full effect.

I was going to mention that too. It's sooo much better than the 50 second long intro-a-thon that season 1 had.
Great episode.

That was an ace episode. Not much in the way of plot, but very entertaining. Even though the Casio beat did get on my nerves.
