I'm happy to say that it works with Panther right out of the box. The best part is I can sync with Entourage! It is a cool little phone runs Palm OS 5.2, text messaging, browse the web, send e-mails, and take pictures. The only two negatives are the camera is not that good and the screen has a low resolution. Other than that, I love it. I've had no problems upgrading my apps and contacts from my old Palm m120. I run Vindigo on it which has a map of Chicago and a database of restaurants, movies, stores, music, etc. in my area. Some people might complain that it doesn't have bluetooth, but I'm syncing with a TiBook so it isn't a problem. I just need to get an mp3 player on it that can sync with iTunes and I'm set.

The new ones are nice but the old ones totally sucked hardware wise.

Congrats! Which cell carrier are you using? I'm considering buying one around Spring of next year, but I'm not sure if I can handle the larger size over my S/E T610.

I'm using Sprint PCS. I think I got a decent deal. My girlfriend already has a Sprint phone and was paying $35/month for 300 minutes. We added the Treo to her account and jumped up the minutes to 2000/month which both phones use. If we call each other on our cell phones, our minutes are not deducted from the plan. We both get the 9 pm unlimited nights and weekends. Also, I get unlimited e-mail, picture mail, text messaging and web browsing. This costs $100/month, but my girlfriend and I will split it.

Pay $5 extra a month and get unlimited nights starting at 7:00 PM rather then 9:00 PM.

I had to look up your current Sony Ericsson on the web to learn more about it damn, that is a nice phone. The only problem for me is it is it is a GSM phone. I travel around the US for work and the company I work for has an office in Birmingham, AL that I visit often. Last time I checked, Birmingham doesn't have any GSM coverage. That is why I went with the CDMA version of the Treo.

Considering buying one as well as my 1-year ("ancient" in tech terms) Kyocera 1135, but have decided to wait until Sprint finally offers one with Bluetooth (or an adapter is manufactured, whichever comes first).

Don't know why, but Sprint has never embraced BT phones. Get with it Sprint!

I just need to get an mp3 player on it...
I think that if you register it at Handspring, you may be able to download PocketTunes for free.

I don't think that it syncs with iTunes, though.

"What's negative:
Poor screen, no Bluetooth"

Nobody asked

Most people could care less about bluetooth. And "poor screen" is relative.

Not when the specs for it are bad.

If you don't spend a lot of time playing games or looking at pics then the screen is very readable and clear, but if imagery is your thing then the lack of colours and resolution will be a problem. So yeah, it's relative. The lack of Bluetooth is a big problem for me, but others really can't see the point in adding it. So, again relative.
