What I want to do, is take a playlist full of AAC files.

1.) Convert them all to MP3 (for my car)
2.) Set the ID3 tags to version 1.0
3.) Copy the new converted files to a different drive, folder, whatever (but out of iTunes)
4.) AFTER copying them out, delete the files from iTunes and Finder.

Is this possible? Currently I can only get step 1 working and its a bit sketchy. Can anyone help me out or show me how?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't really looked at any of this stuff seriously but have you tried:

Doug's Scripts

You may be able to cobble different ones together to do what you need.
