Here is a summary of what is going on with one of our machines at work:

G4/867 Dual Processor
256 MB RAM
Mac OS X 10.2.4
Mac OS 9.2.2

03/25/2003 - M.S. Word spell check was not working right. A survey (includes check boxes, lines and other formatting.) that Erin was working on would have the spell check lock up 3/4 of the way through. Richard deleted all office preferences. Put serial number in. New document was created with many misspelled words. Spell check worked fine. Opened survey and spell check locked. Copied and pasted contents of document to new page. Spell check worked fine. Tried this a second and third time and it failed. M.S. Office 2001 was un-installed and then a clean install was perfomed. Opened survey and spell check locked. Copy and paste did same thing. Opened a much larger survey that Erin said she hadnt had problems with. That locked in the spell check as well. Open a number of other text files in word and the spell check had no problems. Copied the survey and pasted it into an Excel document. Ran the spell check and it worked fine. Appears to be a conflict with the formatting of the surveys in Word.

Has anyone run into this before? As mentioned before I think some of the formatting of the document could be causing the problem. But I'm not 100%. Any help, tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
