Holy cow, Steve said it. "The dollar still sucks."
I wonder if Canadian money will be worth more than U.S. money by the end of the year. This'll be interesting.

So what you're saying is the only way to make the Canadian dollar worth more is for the American dollar to be worth less.

heh.
A few more years of Bush should do the trick. The US dollar has fallen roughly 40 percent under his watch. Yeah, I know, it's the other guy's fault; Bush is never wrong.

I'm convinced that this is part of Bush's financial plan -- make the dollar so cheap that it insures that foreign investment keeps coming in. Somebody has to buy all that debt he's generating.
I put a significant amount of my retirement money in foreign funds back in 2000, because I saw this coming. (I'm no investment genius, though: I also put a fair share into Tech stocks in 1999....)

Been there. Went to something called Buskers (sp?) Festival a few years ago in Kingston, Ontario. Great family fun. We had a ball. Of course, it is only about 2.5 hours from here. I fish on the St. Lawrence often. I would like to try some of Canada's remote lakes.

Wow it's actually $200 cheaper to buy the 20" imac on the US apple store than it is in the Canadian Apple store. Thats an extra 512MB of ram
Even after 15% border tax it'd still be cheaper
Maybe a trip to Buffalo is in order.

Up until 3 days ago, I lived by Detroit, and Ontario was my playground. Canada is a tremendous country (still haven't made it to Quebec, though), and I'm already missing CBC (fantastic Turin coverage). I've yet to weather missing Hockey Night in Canada, but it'll suck.

America sports shows suck. We have one called "The Best Damn Sports Show Ever," with a cracked out Tom Arnold. They cover sports like... uh, NASCAR. They almost never cover Hockey. It was at least big of them to make fun of themselves when they had Gretzky on right after he retired. People were having heart attacks becuase they were actually talking about Hockey and not Basketball.
