I saw several old threads (from a few years back) regarding similar problems, but nothing exactly the same: every week or two, I receive a blank e-mail. I mean,
completely blank: no To:, no From:, no Subject:, no body. When I view headers, I get the following:
Subject:
*****SPAM*****

[my e-mail address]

Obviously, my hosting provider is killing something to do with this e-mail before it gets to me; the problem is that once this message winds up in my Inbox, I can’t delete it! If I hit delete, it disappears and even shows up in the Trash, but when I go back to my Inbox, it’s still there! If I delete it five times, there will be five copies in my Trash, plus one in my Inbox. The only way I can get rid of the stupid thing is to drag everything in my Inbox to a folder, delete the account, re-create the account, and drag everything back—an annoying process that I must repeat, every week or two.
So how can I get rid of this stupid thing, once and for all?
Thanks!
