Oddly, everything except the home button works fine. Screen not cracked. Essentially, the whole thing is bent and port no longer accessible (although the actual connection inside seems fine).
I understand you can pay Apple for a replacement (I was quoted something like £270), but I understand this might count as 'beyond replacement'.
Does anyone have any advice from actual experience?
Wow. I know you want to describe what happens, but inquiring minds want to know. That's impressive. Totally bent out of shape, but with an intact screen.
