Well, title says it all. I have had a Nokia 2100 for 1 and 1/2 years and it's changeover time. I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction for my requirements. It's not area of expertise for me. Brand is not that much of a worry for me:
*Still Camera
*Colour Screen
*Polyphonic Ringtones
*Flipphone/Clamshell form factor
*Stylish/Fashionable
Any ideas?

does it need full Mac OSX support?
...'cause my Motorola v600 is a pretty sweet phone that does all you ask, but it isn't officially supported with iSync.

Someone else suggested v600 to me too. It doesn't need OS X support, I only have OS 9 and I won't need to sync on my mac. I will have a look around. I may still get a different one, but the 7200 is the best I have found so far. I think I couldnt be bothered looking at Motorola Australia's website because it is so poorly put together.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Yep, thats it. I'm going to try and get it in the black.
I just took a look at v600. I don't know, I think i'll stay on my current selection, because I am most familiar with the nokia platform, etc.

Thanks. I had a look but I dunno. I'm a bit wary of buying anything other than Nokia. Nokia is the biggest phone brand in Australia at the moment, though Motorola was really popular years ago.

Only in rare cases you get useful advices.

I'm in the USA.. so it's very limited.
However, I have been using my current phone and service since 1999. Recently, I fed up with T-Mobile. Then I realized that I can bring my number to another provider and keep my number.. so I decided to switch. I looked at AT&T and Cingular.. although they are under one root.. I just switched to AT&T wireless. I ordered the $39.99 plan, unlimited picture messaging, and the S/E T637 phone (only $29.99). My first phone from S/E... I used to be a Nokia fan, but I can't wait for its new phones.
I'm not a fanboy of Korean-made goods.. so I can simply ignore them.

I really like my Samsung A500. I just can't justify upgrading to a camera phone since they all take horrible pictures. The Samsung voicedial feature is incredible. As for the external antenna - less radiation next to my head. That's a good thing.

My 4-yr old Nokia 8290.. the battery life is still strong, considers running off the original battery since Day 1.
Like 4 to 5 days standby.

Nest time, try posting in the "Peripherals" forum. It may be a little bit slower to start, but you're more likely to get better results and feedback.
Also, this is a good site to check with from time to time: http://www.mobileburn.com/
Check out these forums for even more help: http://www.howardforums.com/

I suggest you add
*mp3 ringtones !
all these free midi files ("polyphonic" ringtones) are harder to find these days, when everyone can spam on google. however you get mp3s for free as preview files on these costly ringtones sites.
Just a hint.

I have just added some shortened mp3's onto the v600. Plays well.

MP3 ringtones.. sounds like a good option.
On my S/E T637, it doesn't support MP3 or AMR format as a ringtone.. so getting some new ringtones onto the phone is tricky.
