Ok... nothing to do... so I am asking you guys a question:
What do you think of... Janet Jackson?
Personally, I think that she is a very talented singer, dancer and sometimes writer... but the Superbowl Tit Flash incident was really stupid (if you don't know what I'm talking about, search for Janet Jackson on a P2P service under videos...).
I love her music, and thats why I started this thread... though I bet no-one else does, but... yeh, I am so loving of her music right now... that I thought I'd start a thread...
Anyway, excuse me for this.
So, what do you think? Is she old and washed up? Or does she have life in her still?

i like a good handful of her songs. i think she's in great shape, and no i didnt see the superbowl video and dont plan to. it sounds "retarded and childish" to me that she would have to pull such a stunt.
shrug .. i feel worse for the stations that got fined.

It was very. I was searching for her music vids yesterday and all that came up was the Superbowl thing, and i'm like "no, i have respect for her as an artist. Why would I want to see that?" Most people here know that I am going to be a hip hop and tap dance teacher when I leave school, so her music is pretty appropriate for me.

i dunno. i personally dont like justin timberlake (music or otherwise) so it made it doubly worse for me. maybe she figured it'll get people talking, or it'll charge both their careers .. it got people talking though .. shrug

She's OK as long as she's nowhere near me.
IMO, she's too much of a princess (like her brother, I suppose) and hasn't even got nice boobs.

I'll admit to liking Janet Jackson, her music, and her body.
Back in the day we didn't have a lot to choose from. She was there and we liked her. No reason to turn our backs now...and pretend we weren't interested.

She will long be remembered for her wardrobe malfunction at the Superbowl.

Fixed.
Anyway, I think she's kind of gross. I remember reading an opinion piece about the FCC that referred to Janet Jackson's breast as a "chocolate flapjack," and her nipple as a "wrinkled raisin." I fully agree.

I love that phrase - wardrobe malfunction. But this was sort of intentional, so it's not really a malfunction...
I went out and ummmm... bought... her albums Damita Jo, All For You and The Velvet Rope. Damita Jo is my favourite so far, but yeh. She gets a little to sexual in some songs...

Whoops, I looked it up and apparently it's actually a "40 year old wrinkled raisinette." Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

I'd hit/lick it.
I've always liked Janet. Her best two albums are "Control" and "Rhythm Nation." Well, actually, her best album is her greatest-hits package, "Design of a Decade."

No. Her music is completely not my thing... in fact, I would go out of my way to avoid it.

As Peter would say, it's like a "egg hanging from a nail" (I think that's how it goes.).

SuperNova
My grandmother saw the album cover in my room, and she goes to my mum "what sort of pornography do you buy your child?" It was so funny.
