i have my iCal on my macbook all set up and color coded but when i sync to my iPhone the colors end up different.
what can i do?

Download the 7/25 MacCast podcast. There is great information in how to solve this issue. Happens to work well for me so I don't need to fix it.
Good luck. BTW. I think the MacCast podcast is one of the best out there for the Mac.
