Hello All,

I am the proud owner of a new Macbook PRo 2.66 machine. I downloaded Safari 4 beta and noticed that the load times for web pages are significantly slower on this machine than on my Powerbook.

Same settings, clean setup, no other stuff running in the background (aside from OS processes).

I cna measure load times on the Macbook Pro in seconds (MacNN loaded in 12.6 seconds MB, 8.3 seconds PB). The problem is consistent across the web and web sites.

Any Thoughts?

15" MBP, 2.66Ghz, 4 GB RAM
and....17" iMac C2D
and....Mac Classic II (still running well)
and.....a couple of homebuilt game machines and other ancient stuff like OS/2, BeOS, and Windows 2.0!

weird. maybe an issue with the wireless reception? try with an ethernet cable and see if you still get the same issue.
