Just today, I found my PowerMac Dual G4 1.42 just had its SuperDrive break down.

This is a Dual mirrored model and I would like to ask about everyone's recommendations, insight, and experience on what to get. Maybe something faster and cheap to purchase?

I'd prefer internal models to replace the old one and hopefully the new consideration would be compatible with the iLife series etc.

thanks!

My pick is the Pioneer DVR-110D.
Fastest burner on the market, supports all DVD writeable formats (except DVD-RAM, but who uses that?), lets you set the booktype, should be compatable with OSX out of the box, and its $49 at Newegg.
