hello,

i wanted to install winXP on my brandnew macbook 2ghz c2d

Boot-ROM-Version: MB21.00A5.B00
SMC Version: 1.13f3

(when i try to install the latest firmware and bootrom updates, "you system doesnt need this update" appears, so i must have the latest firmwares on my system).

after starting bootcamp, burning the drivers cd and partitionating the program wants me to insert the win xp 32bit cd. then the system reboots and all i get is a blue screen. i hear the cd drive running but nothing happens except the apple boot signal. i have the right win xp including sp2 and 32bit version.
can anyone help?
greetings
jaybe

it's a free version of my university from the academic alliance:

could this be the reason why?

Very unlikely, that was kind of a poor analysis of your problem. Although I'm not sure what it is.

The MSDN e-academy stuff is distributed as image files, not pressed CDs. It's quite possible that your school didn't do the best job of burning that CD for you, or that it's been handled too much and is dirty. Try cleaning it off very thoroughly and see if that helps. In OS X, see if you can read the disc-it should mount and you should be able to see its contents. If you can't, it's likely that the disc is the problem-take it to your school and tell them that the disc doesn't read and that you need a new one.
