Ok, when I upgraded from my iBook to a macBook forever ago, one of the coolest things was to be able to scroll with 2 fingers.
I have external logitech mouse that the scroll wheel can either "click" or "free scroll"...the free scroll part releases any tension in the scroll wheel, and well, it free scrolls.
After watching some videos of the iPhone's scrolling ability, I was imagining that feature taking over for the trackpad's scrolling. I find the free scroll extremely useful for working with long documents, and I keep finding my self trying to "fling" the trackpad with my fingers to free scroll as you would with the iPhone.
How easy would it be for apple to implement?
Does anyone else want this feature or am I just a weirdo?

That's actually quite a cool idea. I often find myself scrolling through pages and pages and end up grabbing the scroll bar and dragging it to quickly get somewhere. Being able to fling the trackpad with two fingers would be neat.

Dude that would be awesome, I would imagine someone could create some king of script or program to do it. Someone get on that.

I didn't download either of those programs so I could be wrong, but I think they just allow you to scroll on your trackpad (which you can already do).

You think it would be easy enough to do with a script? I would glady play for some kind of shareware that had this functionality, because the more I think about it the more I see myself using it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the scrolling technology in the iPhone a new patented thing?

I believe you're right, but it could also be for just the multi-touch, not scrolling. Either way, it's still Apple's patent so they could do it?
