Well hopefully it'll be visible.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I had heard about this quite a while back, but didn't know it was coming up.

My stupid iPhone game: Nesen Probe, it's rather old, annoying and pointless, but it's free.
Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not
keep up with the ever updating iOS. RIP Nesen Probe.

It happened while I was commuting to work. Any pics/vids from it? I can't find any, and NASA and CNN are showing talking heads of what happened.

Does anybody else think that this sort of experiment is unacceptable? You have to bomb something to study it?

P.S. I've been drinking heavily at lunch.

Nasa TV was showing some stills from the 2nd spacecraft right up until it bit the moon dust. I hope they stitch all the stills together into a short movie to watch.

The trailing spacecraft didn't pick up a visible impact or plume, so the coverage was all pretty underwhelming. NASA says they got the impact they wanted, though.

NASA should have hired ILM for better effects.

No plume was visible. Darn.

But if they got the data they needed, that's what's important.

Go NASA!
