I have a LaCie mini ethernet HD and want to back-up both my desktop and laptop to it. I want to do a complete back up then backup only changed files from then on.

My aim is to have a snapshot of each computer at the last backup. I do not need to have an archive of files that were deleted, just a "copy" of each computer at the last time I backed up.

I also want to automate this process (easily!) so that backups are not missed and do not want to spend hours and hours backing up each week.

Apart from waiting for leopard and "time machine" (which does not do exactly what I want anyway!). What are peoples suggestions for software to achieve my utopian aim?

Thanks

I use Deja Vu to back up to my Linux server. Works perfectly for increment backups and even has a safety net feature that will keep the last n versions of your files.
