I just got an email from Apple saying my Student ADC Monthly Mailing packet just shipped today via US Standard Meal as it usually does and it includes the full retail version of Panther! I went ahead and got the $20 upgrade also, not knowing exactly when this (or if it even would) come, but now I'll have the upgrade & a full install. Here's an exact quote from the email:

"CONTENTS OF NOVEMBER 2003 MAILING

[1] Mac OS X 10.3 Panther and Xcode Tools

The Mac OS X 10.3 set is a 4-disc package that includes Install
Discs 1, 2, and 3, and Xcode Tools Version 1.0. These discs are the
same as those included in retail kits."

SWEET! Anyone else get this email yet?

Assassyn my man, I was just coming here to post as well on this email. I am a student ADC member and just got that same email a few minutes ago. Wooooohoooooo! I purposely helf off on the upgrade anticipating this was going to happen. Now the question remains, do we get the retail Panther manual as well? I am thinking not, but getting the 4 retail set more than makes up for it! Cheers to all the other student ADC members. ADC is easily paying for itself. Long live apple.
