I'm looking to see if there exists a MOD for either UT2k or Quake 3(OS X compatible) that is good for kids under 10 like shooting water bubbles at each other or laser tag or something like that.
I personally love FPS games, but as a parent I don't my kids playing that kind of stuff yet. But I'm interested in knowing about the possibility

How old are your kids?
Kids these days play whatever they can get their hands on...
I remember playing fightings games like Street Fighter 2 and shooting games like Terminator (which was very bloody) when I was well under 10.
If you ask me, when I under 10, if I found a game with shooting bubbles, I would have been easily bored after 5 minutes. But then again, I was a hardcore gamer back then.

We all have different kids. We all teach them different things. Anyhow - these kids are 3 and 5. They play games like "Captain Bumper" they like it.
But I want something more interactive with multiplayer than I can play with them. Therefore I think of the best multiplayer engines out there - UT2k3 and Quake.

We have those. They are fun. But I'm looking for something very specific - as the topic suggests. Something we can play on our powerbooks during travel or in other ways.

Oh my! You bought powerbooks for a 3 and 5 year old? I want you to adopt me now. I'm a little past my prime kid years (19), but pretty please? Haha. On second thought, scratch that. Independence has too many perks

Nah - not that spoiled. My wife's and my powerbooks. We'd let the kids use them on trips or on the couch if we could, though
