What are you talking about? The Romans were fought tooth and nail while building their empire. Read the "Bellum Gallicum" by J. Caesar for details. Nobody ever fought the Soviet Union because the stick they were carrying was as least as big as the stick we were carrying and vice versa. North Korea isn't been threatened with war last time I looked. Do you know better? Napoleons army was opposed and finally beaten by the armies of Prussia, Russia, Austria and the United Kingdom to name but a few. Saddam was our very own creation, biting the hand that fed him for so long.

I give you the Fascists and the Empire of Japan, both born out of a conviction of natural superiority over their fellow man. Do I see parallels with today there somewhere?

The world is not black and white, in any case, ever. There is always a grey area. Nothing is predictable, except that we'll see a new episode of "Friends" every thursday, There is a difference between fact and truth.

Somehow, I don't think they're the same person, but I could be wrong. I think this joker went by the "Chief Moose" moniker a couple of weeks ago, and who knows what before that.

I can't help it if you don't like me, and I can't find it in me to care. But if you want to silence me, I must have struck a chord.

War should be the last option, after all others are explored. And peace would be prolonged if we'd develop a world system that mutually benefitted everyone. Neither of those ideals are upheld by the powerful governments of the world. Yea, I'm talking to all the Bush supporters.

Getting bigger and crankier. She was sleeping thru the night for about 4 weeks, but now she needs a middle-of-the-night feeding again. Growth spurt maybe?

I've been meaning to get some new pix up, but I just haven't done it yet. At this rate, she'll be off to college before the pix get uploaded.

Assuming this was directed towards me. Want to silence you? I am one of the few that enjoy your post. I agree that war should be the last optipion. I hate Bush more then you do. Iraq is a fine example of Bush finishing what big Bush couldn't do. This needs to go through the UN. I will fight once these wisdom teeth get pulled. They hurt bad, I don't have $940 to get them yanked.

A quick idea: The population of the Earth is rising, and it is all but impossible to have small groups of people who can lead themselves without a large beaurocratic government to take the helm and make the law/policies. But in the transition from small group leaders to beaurocratic politicians, the ideals of the small group leaders (tribe leaders, elders, what have you) get lost in the shuffle. It also prevents the possibility of a great leader emerging in a grande populace to lead the country or even the world. Could one man really rule the world with benevolence? And would we follow?

You see, I majored in political science for one year at university. Last year, I majored in psychology. I don't have a degree, but I do have formal, post-secondary education in political science. At the moment, I am taking a year off to earn money, and I am working.

Awwww. So true. The next 18 years are a growth spurt of some sort. She wants your nipple now, in 15 years some gross boy will want hers. It happens faster then you would expect.

I was stumped for a while too. Eventually I shut the browser down, went back in and went straight to the Ignore list. That seemed to do the trick.
