I just burned a CD using the finder. However, it won't let me eject the CD because it claims the disk is "in use".

I come across this problem periodically - it's infuriating! Is there any way to find out in what way the finder believes the disk to be in use, or do I just have to log out and back in again in order to eject it?

Any advice to relieve my irritation would be appreciated!

I've pondered this in the past, and run top to see if I could figure it out, killing just about every user process trying to figure it out. I don't think it's actually in use at all, and the only way to clear the ghost out of the machine is a log out/in.
