Just out of couriosity - which kind of animal do you prefer?
I'm a cat person, and I have at the moment 2 wee Tabby boys - Diego and Galileo
And hopefully within the next week or so, my girlfriend and I are going to a lovely red Maine Coon girl...

I love both, but as I don't have enough time to devote to a dog, I have a cat at the moment...

I'm a cat person. Dogs scare me as much as women do.

I have six dogs and my wife has four cats. Of course, the cats love me more - cats will always go the non-cat person. Maybe they're like Mac users - always trying to convert the other side! If you want to see my dogs, have a look at my web page devoted to them:

I have always been a cat person, kinda hard not to when you're born into a fimily which consists of your parents and a large Maine Coon as your olders sister. (My parent's idea...)
We're now on out third cat, our second Maine Coon.
This brings me to a topic that i have to address: Growing up with an animal does not improve your chances of having alergies or asthma. The exact opposite.
I had a teacher for moral education who thought this and almost put his two cats down when his girlfriend became pregnant. (He was the most immoral moral ed. teacher I have ever met.)
Ok, rant over.
Oh, and I like dogs too.
