According to this CNet article, the (in)famous "Intel inside" has kicked the bucket. I'm pretty sure we all knew this was coming, but the kicker is they claim to know the new catchphrase:

"Intel. Leap ahead."

I personally think its a step backwards as far as catchiness goes, but hey, I'm no marketing genius.

Meanwhile, some French website I've never heard of (and can't read, since I don't speak French) has posted this image, which claims to show the new logo as well as the stickers that would go on boxes/PCs. I'm slightly skeptical, however, because these new logos feature the "inside" phrase, which is supposed to be dead now. Odd...

EDIT: Found the page that the image came from. Warning: French.

Well you gotta admit: it's pretty classy looking. The old logos always looked a bit cartoony. I'm still undecided, I guess.

So, "Intel Inside" had kicked the bucket... that's why everything says "inside" on it?

Death to "Intel Inside," long live "Intel Inside?" I guess.

I'm undecided about the new look. Hoping that Steve won't have the sticker on our beloved Mac.

I worked at Intel for a month. There's an internal blog (my access actually disappeared after my first week. I think they realized I wasn't a bluebadge.) Anyway, there was a question about corporate re-branding. With the emergence of the Centrino brand, the "Intel Inside" term was brought up. I guess this is an answer.

FWIW, internally, intel was VERY receptive about the announcement of Apple products going to their chips.
