Now that there are some 17" models on display (though none where I live), I am wondering if anyone can give a brief review of the screens.

I looked at the 12" earlier on today, and to me, the 15" has a much better screen. Not just in real estate, but in the crispness of the text, etc. Just trying to see if I should bother waiting for a 17", or if I should just get a 15" now.

I think the 17-inch PowerBook has a better viewing angle. Both screens are equally bright.

Better viewing angle is questionable. The screen is coated differently with a smoother plate of glass I think. Its completely different from other Apple displays. I would say its as good maybe a bit better than the 12".
