After backing up with SuperDuper, when I run DiskWarrior, it repairs the Root creation date. SD support says: "Not a big thing - it's because the file system is being copied from a drive that was created at a totally different time. Nothing to worry about. " What do folks here think? To me, root creation date seems kind of fundamental, root-like if you will, and the explanation seems a tad vague. Thank you for your time!

I'm not familiar enough with root creation date to know if it's a big deal or not, but I've used SuperDuper for years, most recently to upgrade the drive in my MBP. It worked flawlessly and the laptop is working fine.

The root creation date shouldn't be a big deal. However, in the future you may want to look at using Disk Utility's Restore tab with the "Erase Destination" box checked to do your cloning. This will do a block-level copy if it's possible, which is pretty much the only way to ensure a 100% exact copy of a drive.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
