my powerbook takes over 10min to wake up from sleep after the 10.3.8 security update. the screen comes on right away but the trackpad doesn't work and when i press on the keyboard the mouse turns into a spinning colour wheel for over 10 min then ever thing goes back to normal. anyone else have this problem? i have trackpad, is that the problem?

Do the following maintainance first:

(1) Repair permissions
(2) Run Cron scripts (using either MacJanitor or Cocktail)
(3) Reset the PRAM by restarting the computer and hold down "command" + "option" + "P" +"R".

(5) Prebind the system (using cocktail). This usually repairs an unstable computer
(6( Always do a restart especially after installing new software even if the computer doesn't call for it.

Last thing to do if all else fails is to do an archive and install and reinstall the Mac OS. If you downloaded any corrupt file that's causing the computer to be unstable this is the solution that will fix.
