Post all the cool new apps that you find that take advantage of the 3.0 features: push, in app purchases, etc.

OK not a suggestion - rather a request - anyone find a IM program thats
a) free
b) no annoying ads
c) push to the program itself - NOT to your email.... so kinda like ichat with incoming message number on the app in the dock.

There aren't really any like that, but I'm waiting for one too...

AP and Tap Tap Revenge 2 use Push.

You're asking for the impossible. Running a server costs money, so you have to take one or the other. Ads or pay for the right to access the servers. There are ones that could be free, because they don't host the IM servers, but then it will be impossible to receive push notifications because you'll log off when you leave.

The new iDisk app from Apple doesn't seem to be available yet either, at least not from a direct download to my phone. Maybe through iTunes, although I don't know why there would be any difference.

Gokivo is now available. Turn-by-turn directions. Looks like the app is $0.99, plus $9.99/month for the navigation features using the new micropayment feature of 3.0. No reviews yet.

I just started getting app update notifications. It took a while to accept the new terms, but now it is working okay.

Looks like the MLB At Bat app now has live video. Unfortunately all the games had ended by the time I downloaded the new version tonight.

Haven't seen any push notifications come through on the AP Mobile app. I'm pretty sure I set it up right. Anyone else get any notifications? Maybe they haven't turned it on yet or the AP is lame and isn't going to bother pushing many updates.

OK, this is eerie...Twilight Zone eerie...

Just as I was reading the post that said no AP Mobile push alerts were happening (from kman42)- I got my first AP Mobile push alert news story on the phone! I am serious - just as I was reading the post.

Weird.

Beejive is out with push.

If you don't see it and have purchased it, just re-download the app and it is version 3.0

I just went to that AppAdvice page and it said that AIM was updated with Push. So I went to the App Store on my iPhone and it didn't show up under updates. So I searched the Store, and the AIM page didn't say anything about Push Notifications. But then when I went through iTunes on the Mac, both the free and paid AIM have newer versions than on the iPhone App Store. Weird. Anyway, yay for more Push-enabled chat clients.

and it's working very well, I might add. Now if only they would let me set the client to stay online for more then 24 hours.

Rather annoyingly, you can't sign into two MSN locations at once. Beejive for iPhone and Adium for Mac. MS internal thing, nothing we can do.

I didn't think you could do that with AIM, either, but I could be wrong as it's been quite a while since I used my AIM account.

Yes, you can do this with AIM/iChat.
