Hi folks,

I've had my 12" Powerbook for about 5 months though, and surprisingly I haven't burned a DVD with the SuperDrive yet. However I'd like to make copies of a non-commercial, unprotected DVD (some home videos and stuff from a friend that I'd like to send to someone else). What's the best way to do this? That is, just make a straight DVD -> DVD copy. Can I do it in iDVD or something? Thanks for the help.

I believe the best way is to first copy the DVD to your hard disk via the Disk Utility. Copy it over as a complete disk image, and then once it's copied, burn that image to a new DVD

I don't have a superdrive though on my PB so I have not tried this. It is, however, the method I have used to copy CD-ROMs, since I do not have any specialized burning software such as Toast.
