Works perfectly in OS X (duh )

when I reboot into Windows XP using bootcamp, and I connect my mini-dvi to video adapter, I hear the typical Windows bleep sound that says new hardware's connected, and just a second or two later the other bleep sound that says hardware is disconnected.

This continues on and on (with screen flickering) until I disconnect the adapter. All this time, I can never "extend windows desktop to this monitor" in the display settings, or see Multiple Display in the Intel Graphics Options app that the Apple Drivers installed.

I've seen a few solutions for external display issues in the apple discussion forums, but they never discuss the issue where the hardware seems to come and go.

Has this happened to anyone else?

first gen (core duo) macbook (not pro), latest boot camp beta, Windows XP Pro SP2

The problem you're having can be solved by downloading the new graphics driver.
