Hello,

For months now I have been receiving (bogus) emails using (not From) my contacts that have no subject, usually start by saying Hello Harvey, You will find this amazing . . . and a link to some product or website that is inappropriate or spam. Is this happening to anyone else and is there a way of stopping it.

Harvey

This is not a "mail redirect" spoof, and there is nothing really that you can do about it.

It is common practice for Trojan horses to spy out an affected machine's address book and send it off to a spam ring, which will then use the addresses in that address book as "from" addresses to send spam to all the other contacts. Same thing happens with hacked mail accounts.

There really isn't much you can do to stop it.
