At the SoHo store Steve said Apple will be charging Admission to get into all
stores since Apple stores are more fun than going to see the latest movies
at your local theater.

You will be able to order advanced tickets via a new features in 10.2 called iMoney.

When Steve was asked why they call it iMoney and not something like iTickets
Steve said "because i want your money" he laughed but we didn't.

You will be able to use iMoney for other stuff like writing checks and Apple
will electronically send them to venders for you etc.....

Steve didn't say how much it would cost to get into an Apple store but
he did say it would be in line with what movie theaters charge to get into
to see the latest big screen films.

; )

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I suppose people who are already inside the stores will be grabbed by security guards and thrown outside. "We never said it was free for life!"

They will have had ample warning from the sign at the back of the store:
"You only have 2:34 minutes left to take advantage of this special 1/2 price admission." <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

What they should do is say admission is free, and then charge you...

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

Hahahah!! Thursday I was thinking the same thing!

What I heard though, is that instead of paying each time you go in, you'll purchase a "membership pass", which allows you to enter a store anytime you like. Despite the hefty yearly cost, those who join will have benefits like:

Seats (with cushions)
Adjustable A/C
Interior Lights (7 or 8)
Actual human beings to help you.
Oxygen (a whole 20% of the air inside, approximately)
Nitrogen (and various other gases)
You'll be able to touch the hardware
And a new service called iCharge. This is where the sales rep (who has your CC info) actually makes the purchasing decisions for you according to what he/she feels would best benefit you!!!

Many more features will come, so we should all feel good that this will help Apple. It's expensive to run these stores...
