I'm looking to remove all of the background and just have my bike. Looking to have a transparent background behind the bike. If someone is quick with this stuff, would be greatly appreciated.

I tried but didn't look so good.

First off, I'd try taking another picture of the bike against a plain background like a wall or the sky.

If you're hell-bent on using that photo, I suggest watching the series called "You suck at Photoshop" . You'll go from using $25 worth of PS to about $350 worth in a few short minutes.

Thanks. Just had the bike arrive. I moved and it was shipped across Canada from one coast to the other. Was painted before it left. Seen it for the first time not too long ago.

ALl you have to do is use the Lasso with no feathering but with antialiasing. Just outline it. I've done MUCH more intensely-edged images.

20 minutes later...

Imagine if I spent time on it. This work isn't so much about Photoshop skills as it is patience.

I didn't spend much time on the wheels, obviously.

On the Contour board I frequent, someone once asked for a Photoshop of his car with the rims spraypainted blue. I did this instead.

Instead of photoshop/removing your bike from the photo, do this photoshop tutorial. I tried it, and yep I stink at photoshop.

...and I'm still waiting on my "thank you," too. What's up with that?

I hate car forums, because every one wants to see what THEIR car looks like with those OTHER wheels. Nevermind that it's been done before thousands of times, and there's tons of pictures of them actually mounted to the same model of car they have. No, it has to be THEIR car that gets photoshopped.

It should be more like "PLEASE PHOTOSHOP THESE COMMON RIMS ON MY BLACK COBRA.. I want to see what they'd look like in my driveway.

A dude posted a super hi-res pic of his car, and only a little jpeg of the rim he wanted.. the forum members all tried blowing up the rim image to fit the giant car pic. Insane.

Also, I hate when people don't thank you. I took a bunch of photos of my friend's '63 Caddy the other day, sent them to him THAT NIGHT, still no word from him.

Thanks "RAILhead", great job. Will use that for a banner I want to create for a motorcycle forum. Just got the bike back, so have not had the chance to take better pictures with a better background to work with.

Tks,

Also, you left the basketball pole in the picture. Frankly, if you had spent your personal time working on this for me for free and done this poorly of a job, I'd print it out just so I could spit on it.

I know, I'm such a corner-cutter when it comes to doing things that are so easy, a monkey should be able to do them (no offense to the OP, of course).
