I'm interested in getting one or the other card for my PCI slot (I'm not interested in AGP). Can anyone tell me what the difference is between them?

Someone on this forum has stated:
ATI do sell the Radeon 7000, but its PCI only and I've heard that its slower than the previous 32MB DDR version.
I've read in newsgroups that the old ATi Radeon is compatable with my monitor set up (SGI 1600sw w/multilink) but that, perhaps, the newer 7000 Radeon isn't. Anyone know?

I know that the Radeon 7000 is slower than it's Radeon PCI counterpart.
