I still don't think that's a good reason to center the owl vertically. Unless you have a high tolerance for poor design (or are 14).
I'm sure someone will point out both counts are probably true.

I am not the best photoshopper in the world, not by a long shot, but I cropped it and extended the earphone cord in 2 places.
