Every so often, people browse the Internet and the Mac App Store to try and find useful things to add to their app arsenal, but sometimes it's hard to find discounted apps that you really want to get. Macnn has evolved into a market place rather than a site with the latest Apple news.

No, it hasn't. We run four or five articles regarding deals each day; today's total non-deals news article count, including news snippets and reviews, was 17. That latter count is often higher, depending on how much "news" happens.
If deals posts dismay you, I'm sorry, but the rise of adblockers (whether you are using one or not) makes it necessary to find other ways to fund the continued operation of this site. Given that we curate a fantastic selection of genuine bargains, including from sites that do not pay us any referral reward (we just think the deal is great) -- we think this is a better option than shutting down.

You headline with Bass Cat (free) - and then say it's $2.
Linkbait.

It was free at the time of publication (9:30 ET), you visited eight hours later, by which time, the limited promotion had ended. Headline fixed at 7:15 AM ET.

Keep it up MacNN. You are doing at right. I like a website that includes a marketplace with product news and offers of discounts. I get informed and save money at the same time.
