With the big day coming up, I thought it might be the ideal time to ask for suggestions and/or war stories.
I was thinking I could go as one of the corporate raiders from the short subject before "Meaning of Life" -- you know, the old guys of the Crimson Permanent Assurance. Gotta find one of those handheld rolling blotters and a receipt spike.
Arrgh.

Well, the rolling blotter isn't that hard to get : try your local art supply store or a very good stationer (If I've got the right idea, you're looking for fountain pen stuff - I use 'em).
Failing that (i.e. you're short said stores) you should be able to get 'em online.
I know J.Herbin makes one.

Yeah, I was thinking it was yard sale stuff. Old days. I've never used a blotter with my fountain pens, just lots of caution.
