In the Panther pages describing its new features, Apple lists a change to its anti-aliasing algorithm:

Finer LCD Font Antialiasing With �Micro-pixel Positioning�
Read text more easily on flat panel displays.

I was wondering if anyone has noticed an improvement in readability ...?

Yes, I think the fonts are much clearer and look much nicer.
