Dear forum users,

We are doing an academic research project on online service quality. We would be grateful if you could spare 3-5 minutes and complete our online questionnaire. The link for the questionnaire is provided below.

http://www.uwe.ac.uk/bbs/osq/

Thank you for your help and time.

P.S. The module leaders gave me permission to post this message.

-------------------

EDIT:

We're doing a follow-up survey to finish this doctoral research. It has been decided by the faculty administration that one of the repsondents will win a Free 6GB iPod Mini (including free shipping) for her/his participation - this is open to everyone worldwide.

There are no open-ended questions in this questionnaire so it can be completed by only clicks.

There are two questionnaires: one about Hotmail, the other about Yahoo! Mail. These two websites were chosen because they are popular sites but this research is purely academic so data or results will not be shared with Microsoft Corporation or Yahoo! Inc.

Please enter your email only if you want to take part in the free iPod draw. Collected emails will not be used for any other purpose. When data collection finishes, the winner will be determined and contacted by email.

Link to Hotmail quesionnaire:
http://www.uwe.ac.uk/bbs/osq/h.html

Link to Yahoo! Mail questionnaire:
http://www.uwe.ac.uk/bbs/osq/y.html

Please visit this link for more information about the research:
http://www.uwe.ac.uk/bbs/osq

You can use the email on questionnaire pages if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time and participation.

Erm, yes?

If you're a student at Bristol Business School and doing a survey like this for some course or paper or something, wouldn't it make sense to use your own e-mail address for contact?

Oops. It should have been *forum* leaders...

I didn't use my university email because there have been some technical problems about it. As you can see, the questionnaire is hosted on the university's website. It's a legitimate academic survey and there are no marketing tricks involved.

I filled in the survey, no seriously I did.

I'm now in "the process" of receiving my free iPod/kitten/gift voucher/software/mouse mat/t-shirt/ballpoint pen [delete as appropriate].

Will post pictures of the delivery truck outside my house soon.

I decided to answer the survey as I know how hard it is to get people to do these things.

The questionnaire's webpage was down for about 4 hours yesterday due to a problem with the university's server. It's working properly now. Sorry about this problem.

Thank you everyone. I'm almost finished with my data collection but I still need about 100 more participants to achieve my target sample size.

I hope there are a few other people who wouldn't mind participating.

I participated - it was painless and didn't require any identification. Do a poor grad student a favor.

I did it, but i didn't read most of the instructions so i probably fudged it all up

and for the last 4 "criteria" i couldn't think of anything, so i just pit "other stuff" in those boxes.

I remember a time when business training actually required the participant to think rather than to simply react to focus group style surveys.

No wonder the UK has the worst trade deficit since the 17th century.

For those who want to participate later: if you use both Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail, please complete the questionnaire for Yahoo. I received far less responses for Yahoo. Thanks.

The winner of the iPod (among 300 participants) is determined by a draw:

Winner: rich@for____.org (I don't want to write the exact emails)

1st substitute: g522y1____@_____.com.au

2nd substitute: preludeto___@____.com

I've contacted the winner.

I'd like to thank all participants again for their contribution...
