The popular Munich fashion designer Rudolph Moshammer was found dead today morning by his chauffeur with a phone cord around his neck as police reported. His dog Daisy was found in the house unharmed.

Moshammer designed fashion for celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden and Jos Carreras.

Who does something like this?

Well, sorry for the dude's family and friends, but other than that, so what? Lots of people die each die, many at the hands of other people. Should we post threads on everyone?

We should only post threads on the deaths of interesting people. Duh.

Didn't know of him, and it's bad that the guy is dead, but to me that dog has a look in his eyes. I say the dog did it!

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Obviously the death of any person is a tragic thing, and we can't post a thread for everyone who dies. But since he successfully made fashion and was some kind of celebrity himself, he was influential on society. So therefore his death is of wider interest. And it's somewhat shocking. While he was always pretty "crazy", he seemed like a friendly person to me. It's a surprise that something like this could happen to him.

The police have a lead already: "The murderer came from behind".

And that's part of the problem, isn't it; we celebrate the death of someone who "had an influence on society," yet the daily killings of children in our inner cities go unmentioned, because we have a macabre fascination with glitz and glimmer.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

The police have arrested the suspected killer, you mean. Presumption of innocence before guilt.

Yes, he confessed already, so there's no doubt he actually did it.
