Sometimes SmallDog.com can aid in trying to figure out what's going on. For instance, I checked out their inventory of iMac FP's shortly before the Spring models were released. Their inventory of the older models was down to nothing, so it helped to suppport the rumors that new machines were on the way. I'm not saying this proves anything at all, just another piece of information you can use to try and predict.
So here's what they have got, nothing in 1GHz and 30 in the 867. Apple somehow got stuck with tons of 667's in the channel, I'm not sure how. Sometimes they unload huge quantity to a few resellers at a great price, perhaps that's what happened at Small Dog?
They have lots of PowerBooks and hey ... that 867 at $1799 isn't a bad deal at all, but a SuperDrive model at $1999? That's nifty!
