Unfortunately Mail and iCal does not support Exchange's "push" feature. Pretty weak. Doesn't the iPhone support push email from Exchange servers?

You didn't really expect it to be fully featured, did you?

I expect it to have all sorts of warts and quirks.

The IPhone uses ActiveSync. SL is most likely using EWS based on the Exchange Server requirements. So, either EWS doesn't support push or Apple didn't implement it.

EWS doesn't support push YET. MS is trying to move everyone to EWS because the AS protocol is difficult to work with while EWS is far more expandable and simpler.
