I posted this originally at insidemacgames.com but I was censored! So I'm going to try here.

Basically I would like to know were I can find adult games for the Mac, similar to Leisure Suit Larry or perhaps more XXX. I remember years ago I used to see adds in the back of Mac magazines for adult games, etc. I'm thinking something like strip poker perhaps?

I know on the PC you can find adult games, like Hentai games for example. However I cannot find anything for the Mac, not even at the level of that old Sierra classic series.

About the closest I've come to adult games on my Mac, besides Leisure Suit Larry, was some adult SNES programs using SNES9x emulator. They are very crappy though. Maybe we should contact the major distributors of Mac games to get a deal to port some soft adult PC games. However I doubt any of these companies would get involved in anything less innocent the Leisure Suit Larry! It will probably be easier to contact an adult PC game maker and let them know about a potential Mac market!

Well not necessarily porn, just some adult theme games. I, after all, am an adult and have adult male tastes! (like mindlessly violent games and sex)

And I have no idea why someone would think this thread is "sad." Perhaps they would care to explain?

Oh and about going blind, I am going blind but it has nothing to do with looking at porn. More to do with spending hours using my iBook in law school.

Ah, the great American double standard, now applied to video games- it's OK to talk all you want about incredibly violent content, but as soon as sex comes into the picture, you're some kind of misfit.

Anyway... I know nothing about this area of "gaming", but I'd hazard a guess that:
- There isn't much "adult" game content being developed that doesn't involve hardcore sex these days.
- If that's what you're in the market for, looking through adult mags is probably a good place to start.

I absolutely loved Liesure Suit Larry's series and really wish Sierra would bring them back. It was harmless escapism... Imagine how good the graphics would be today on a game like that.

Heck even the Sims has its 'adult' flavor..there's just so many challenges to see your sims go at it and the vibrating bed is but one of the fun add-ons..

Isn't there an adult volleyball game out for the Xbox? Hehe and I also remember strip poker games during the early 90s...but haven't seen one of those in a while.

Christopher

p.s. Sex isn't something that should be locked in a dark room and left unattended..lol..

Are you on crack?

I say this thread is sad, and you say I have a double standard. Maybe you should write a book on this new form of logic. Do you know how I feel about "incredibly voilent video games"? They make me sick, and I despise them.

I don't care if you or anyone else wants to play adult video games. But, I still thik that this thread is sad, and bordering on pathetic. If you want the games, then more power toy you. You just won't see me ever playing them.

Why did you feel the need to post in this thread? Just to let everyone know how 'superior' you are?

No. Read the thread. If you pick up a superiority complex from my first post, you need to tone down the ESP, because it is picking up things that are not there. I can declare a thread "sad" or "retarded" just as wuch as you can. Just because I say something is sad doesnt mean I feel superior. It was also sad when I lost a whole day's work 2 Monday's ago due to WWDC and being in the WWDC 2003 chat room from 1-3. Really, you people need to lighten up bit.

I don't think anyone has a right to declare a thread "sad" or "retarded," especially one that has multiple people obviously interested in its content.

Benb you can declare a thread sad and retarded all you want but if you don't give us reasonable and persuasive arguments as to why you believe so, then it is you who sound sad and retarded. You insult yourself and us by making unsupported and offensive comments.

Funny thing is, you were the first person to post after I created this topic. I assumed you were also interested in adult games when you bumped the topic.

Anyway I have played all of the Leisure Suit Larry games (as well as Space Quest) and it is too bad Sierra declared the adventure theme dead. I don't know why they could not make it into a Myst type of game.

I think there is certanly a market out there for adult games, especially if they fall into the humorous category liks LSL.

That's fine, but I don't see you trolling through the UT/Q3/Payback posts. You chose this one. Why is that?

Well, thanks for sharing. Personally, I won't be playing them either, but it's not going to stop me from pointing someone in the right direction if they want to. That's the goal of these forums, not to hear you give your unwanted $0.02.

Remember StripMac? Not really a porn type game, but one that you could play with your partner(s)...kind of a digital 'truth or dare'...I wish that game were still around in OSX...

not quite what you were looking for and I don't even have any proper links, but a while back I was playing a text-only conversion of leisure suit larry, made as a zCode game, running on Zoom in OS X.

No graphics but it still brought back dusty and sordid memories of a great game

people may like to think that adult games are sad, and they are entitled to that point of view and our full respect. I know that many married (and unmarried) couples actually enjoy playing adult games together so there need not be any sad - it is just one form of sex/foreplay/whatever, just as some people dress up in sexy underwear or other "stuff".

But my question is what is an adult game? any example

Well...I know there are 'solo' adult games but I've never seen one on the mac...Strip Mac was more of a 'couples' game (or for groups if that is your style)...the developer became disillusioned with macs and the game is now known as Punishment in the PC world...it is available here. I would love to resurrect this type of game on the OSX platform...
