To anyone out there that is beta testing IE5 for Macintosh, I would like to know if it includes a JVM of it's own, ot does it still only use the one Apple provides?

Apple's JVM is fine, but doesn't do JAVA2 and does not allow someone to run a applet under an SSL connection.

In post I've read from some Microsoft employee's on the newsgroups, IE5 will support Apple MRJ, and supposedly they are testing it right now for MRJ 2.2 compatability. The preview page on MacTopia claims JavaScript 5.0 compliance.

I was kinda hoping it would come with it's owm JVM, to fit the void Apple left in theirs. Unless Apple puts out a new JVM that supports JAVA2 and JAVA over SSL.
