Well so far working at a Petco is my downfall...sometimes when an animal is injured for along time, and we've nursed it back to health employees are allowed to take home the animals because they are deamed as "un-sellable"
Meet William. He is one such "unsellable" animals.
I had a Spiney-Tailed iguana for 4 years prior to William who is an African Fat-Tailed Gecko.

Mmm, the other green meat.

Those cows won't know what hit 'em. They won't know what hit them even after it hits them, because they're cows.

He's kinda cute. I have a fondness for reptiles too...at least for those I don't have to feed live mammals to, anyway. I don't have any pet ones now, but look at this poor wild monitor lizard we found on vacation, with his head stuck in a can. Luckily, we were able to free him without injury by cutting up the can with a knife.

I ate one before in China. They made soup out of it. Tasted good with pepper.

My lizard died a couple of years ago, and I never got around to getting another. He was a plated lizard, and much to my surprise, he lived to be ten years old. Scrappy little fella too, he once tried to eat my doberman. Seriously, clamped right on to his ear and wouldn't let go. The dog ran through the house with the lizard flapping in the breeze behind him. I ended up having to pry his mouth open this a spoon to free the dog.

That's funny. Not exactly on topic, but I had a dobe- that could catch a ball no matter how hard I threw it at her head. She was lightning fast! Unreal. When I moved out of my folks house, they kept her around as she was a part of their lives as well, and she died one night mysteriously. Bled out. Very tragic. Magnificent animal. Ok, gonna cry now.

I've always wanted a reptilian pet of some sort, but never got around to it... I think I'd get a snake of sorts.
If it was possible (with ease), I'd want an Eyelash viper... not exactly the kind of snake you can take out and hold, though, unfortunately.
I wouldn't mind getting a Jackson's Chameleon or something.

That is one beautiful lizard. What kind of enclosure do you keep him in?
