MacNN: Please stop with the stupid links to electronista. I don't want to read the same story twice. If you provide a link, make sure it's directly to the source.

See this example: MacNN | iLuv debuts Japanese digital TV tuner
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.

Not gonna happen. They want to make sure they spam us with their other sites.

Bundle the not - so - popular with the popular AKA Microsoft.

I've just reverted to not going to those pages anymore.

Ditto. At least the lame tie ins with Left Lane News have stopped. Some of those were a real stretch.

Well they used to spam the lounge with left lane news spam. Until too many people really complained.

Ok that's it.

It is clear that they are doing this to increase the hits to the Electronista site, since it is obviously not as popular as MacNN. I have now blocked the loading of all ads on MacNN, Electronista, and any related sites to deny them the underhanded hits that they are getting by not directly linking to source articles from MacNN.

If enough people do this, maybe they'll get the hint. Then again, maybe not.

This has been greatly reduced as we have implemented cross-posting, allowing us to post the same article to both sites (directly go to relevant articles on Electronista, without having to go through a MacNN page).

I've been here at MacNN a long time - Electronista sounds too much like a NewsFactor thing. I thought we got rid of them.

Anyway if I keep getting linked to Electronista when following a headline, I'll just make MacMinute my startpage instead of MacNN.

C'mon MKBhatia - make it right
