i am having a problem opening pdf's.
i can open them with my iPad, but not with my new iMac.
i have tried adobe reader and one other, but have the same problem.
how can i get my iMac to properly open them?

You do not need to install any software to read PDF files on a Mac.

Uninstall Reader and see if that helps.

i tried just preview - didn't work
so i tried adobe reader - that didn't work either
so now i am stuck

that pdf opens for me in firefox first, then I can click download, and it opens fine in Preview. (I have several versions of acrobat installed, so that shouldn't be a conflict to Preview working well.)

it is a large PDF though, 13mb. maybe your internets are slow?

what os is your new imac? maybe preview works differently in 10.8?

i don't know how mavericks works with preview
my internet is ok for ibbc
